On December 1st 1996, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri K.V. Narayanaswamy was honored to commemorate
sixty years of his service to the Carnatic music world. The function was
held at The Music Academy Hall in Madras. More than a thousand people attended this event.
A brief summary of the evening:

- Living legends Sri Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer and Smt. M.S. Subbulakshmi
graced the occasion with their presence.
A host of other noted musicians, including Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman,Smt. D.K. Pattamal, and others,
also attended.

to make the occasion a grand success.
